Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information kaliekimball.com collects, why, and what your rights are. In short: I collect very little, I don't sell it, and you can ask me about it at any time.
1. Who I am
The website kaliekimball.com is run by Kalie Kimball, based in Edinburgh, Scotland ("I", "me"). I am the "data controller" for the information described here.
Contact: hello@kaliekimball.com
2. What I collect and why
I don't knowingly collect sensitive ("special category") information, and the site is not aimed at children under 13.
3. Cookies
The site uses a cookie consent tool (CookieYes) so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your choice. I use Google Tag Manager to manage the tags on the site. It doesn't set cookies itself, but it loads Google Analytics, which sets analytics cookies only if you accept them. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer, or through your browser settings. Non-essential cookies are not set until you agree.
4. Who I share your information with
I don't sell your information. I use a small number of service providers who process data on my behalf:
- Webflow, Inc., which hosts the website and handles form submissions
- Google LLC, for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (analytics only runs if you accept analytics cookies)
- CookieYes, which runs the cookie banner
- My email provider, Apple Inc. (iCloud Mail), which holds messages you send me
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my legal rights.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your information is sent outside the UK, I rely on safeguards such as the UK's data bridge to certified US companies, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and standard contractual clauses.
6. How long i keep it
- Enquiries and emails: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together, in which case I keep records as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal reasons.
- Analytics data: kept in line with the retention setting in Google Analytics (currently 6 months).
- Cookie consent records: up to 12 months.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the information I hold about you
- correct anything inaccurate
- delete your information
- restrict or object to how I use it
- move your information to another service (where it applies)
- stop using it where I rely on your consent (withdrawing consent doesn't affect what I did before)
8. Security
The site uses HTTPS, and I limit access to the information you send me. No online system is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive personal or financial details through the contact form.
9. Links to Other sites
The site links to other websites, such as case study partners and social profiles. I'm not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
10. Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be flagged on this page.
